HANNAGAN SHOWS PROMISE IN CHILI BOWL NATIONALS DEBUT

Tulsa, OK – January 18, 2025 – Mason Hannagan kicked off his 2025 racing season with a strong debut at the Chili Bowl Nationals, driving the Hill's Racing Team, Townline Variety #71H Midget. This marked just his second-ever start in a Midget.
Hannagan’s week began on Tuesday with his preliminary night. Drawing the pole position for his heat race, he took full advantage, claiming a dominant nearly two-second victory. The win earned him the maximum 100 points and secured his place in the invert for a qualifier.
In his qualifier, Hannagan started third and quickly moved into second behind five-time World of Outlaws champion Brad Sweet, a position he would hold until a late yellow flag with less than half a lap remaining. Unfortunately, on the restart, Hannagan encountered trouble entering Turn 3, hitting the ledge, upsetting the car, and flipping after jumping the cushion.
Despite the setback, Hannagan started ninth in B-Main 2 and showed determination against a tough field. He advanced two spots to finish seventh, earning a seventh-place start in F-Main 1 on Championship Saturday.
On Championship Saturday, Hannagan pushed forward from seventh to fifth, briefly occupying the final transfer spot. However, as the race progressed, he slipped back to his original starting position, finishing seventh. This marked a commendable end to his debut at the prestigious Chili Bowl Nationals.
